I just came back from Tokyo. I took the bus early Wednesday morning. Did not really knew were to sleep or what to do, but I really felt like going. Had to go away for a little while…just to think and many things., and I also wanted to check out some places. I made a half appointment with a cheep hotel, but I rather wanted to sleep somewhere else… well you never know what God can help you with.
Anyway, the day before, I had called a friend (who lives in Tokyo, and is a very very good friend of a friend in Norway) just asking how he was doing. He asked me when I was coming, and I said I was thinking of coming tomorrow, and he actually had the day off, so we decided to meet.
So when I got there, I called him and we decided to meet at this café that I have wanted to check out for a long time, it’s called “Kick Back Café”, and it’s kind of a christian café. We went there and ate some amazing food, I liked it. And now I know how it looks like, so that’s good.
I was going to a concert that night because another guy I know was going to play with his band, so I said bye to the other friend…but right before I left he said” By the way, were are you going to sleep tonight?” I said I was going to sleep at a hotel maybe, but than he said, NO NO you can sleep at my place that totally ok, just call if you need if you don‘t find the way and I will help you”
Wow it was amazing, totally AMAZING, than he just gave me the opportunity to say no to the hotel so that I could see what happened, he gave me the freedom so see what happened kind of, It was great.
I went the the concert, I t was cool, met many nice people.. some christian actually (because half of the band is christian) , my friend Mika also came there, but she is very VERY busy with work and exam these days and was a little ill too, so it was not a good timing to sleep at her place, but only this day her father was out on a business trip so there were some extra space, I did, and It was sooo great, because I really needed to be with her, because she is so encouraging for me, and I always gets a little filled up coming to the their house.
The day after I didn’t really know what to do, I decided to go to this skateshop in Nakano,I went and met some people who know about my skate friends in Iwaki, and then the guy who worked there called his Japanese friend that has been living in Oregon for 5 years or something, and he came to talk with me, It was soo cool, they off cause asked me why I was in Japan, and I told them about the café that we’re going to make and stuff, and then this guy tells me that he is going in a “Skate Church” in Oregon, they have a bible reading there for like half an hour and then they skate. I was sooo happy, It was amazing. Sooo cool, I love that style. Then too other people cam, they were soo nice too, and made music I like, so all of a sudden (without me knowing it) they had went in and copied a cd for me.I was sooo happy to meet them. All of them invited me to this event in that part of Tokyo, I sooo wanted to go.
Then after that, I went to this café in Shibuya that I have been once before, it’s called Cozmos café’, it’s like an open mike there every Thursdays, soo cosy, it’s many of the same people who’s coming again and again .so I came and played two song, anyway at this place, there was this girl coming in the door, and right away I was thinking that I wanted to talk with her. She was kind of busy talking to many people, but all of a sudden she came to me and said that she wanted to talk to me. It was soo cool. We realised we were both christian and soooo thinking in the same way, she invited me to a church on Sunday, because I wanted to check out some churches . And she also said I could sleep at her place if I needed to. And she told me about this surf church close to were I live…WOW it was amazing..
And then another girl comes over to us and says, “Oh I just wanted to talk to you” and she is from England and is also christan.. And the guy who runs this thing and his wife is christan too (but it’s a totally non christian bar) …so anyway , that night I went an slept at my friends house, the guy I met the fist day. It was cool, he’s an actor ,so we talked about a lot of acting stuff and many things yes, very cool.
The day after ,I was walking around and around, went in a park and sat there for a while,I had totally no plans…didn’t even know if I should go back to Iwaki… I wanted to go to that event with those skate people, but I saw that it didn’t started until 22.00 and since I (if I should go and sleep at that actor’s place again), I would only be able to be at that event for an hour or something…well.I was fine. Had soo many wonderful experiences but still deep deep down in my heart I felt a so alone, so hmm..no can’t explain it..well I felt kind of sad. I was at Tower records and said to God like I don’t know what to do and stuff…
Then my phone rings, and it’s some friends from Iwaki who lives in Tokyo (a couple), who asks me if I want to come to eat at their place this evening...WOW I WAS SOOO HAPPY!!! I went on the train and was picked up by a motorcycle and was driven to their house. We ate some amazing homemade food and they said I could sleep there for the night if I wanted too..AMAZING AMAZING PEOPLE. Then another couple came too. Wow we had sooo much fun and laugh and laugh .It was soo great, I was able to really relax and be me..
The morning after, we went out and had a photoshoot, and after that, we bought an ice cream, then another to friends came over and we went to eat some nice food together. The I was going to go somewhere else (did not know were). But then two of the friends I just got to know was on their way to a concert, and they said who was playing, and then it was some people I know…crazy crazy..some days before I had been thinking ”Oh it would be soo cool if they would going to have a concert in Tokyo or something” and now I just heard that they would… so I went with these guys to the concert, and it was soo cool to see them again. .they even gave me a free sticker..he,he.
After that, I called the girl I met at the café and slept at her place. We went to church together I got to meet many nice people, we went out eating and then I felt it was time to go back to Iwaki. I went back to Iwaki and on the way from the bus to my home, I stopped by Echos and the wonderful people there.WOW I WAS SOO HAPPY TO BE BACK. I realised that I really love these people in my city here. They invited me to go with them to skate the whole day after, so I did( next blog), then I went on my way back to my house…and I started to cry because I love these people so much..and then I walked by the great Kengo in the Down Town record shop…he was in the perfect position.. The window was open and his back was there…hi,hi…I could not leave it..I just had to…I went very very quietly ..closer and closer…and said “BOOOO” , wow it was soo fun…he was jumping in the air, then we all laugh , and I went back home.. Outside my door I got to meet my neighbour for the first time, I always knew she was there, because she always has a plastic bag on her door ,speaks soo good English and and now she told me what it was for..it was for the newspaper…he,he. Cool.
Well God has surely blessed me like crazy these days.
Well, by camera went out of battery so I haven’t so many pictures…
So you have to picture it yourself…
