ONE WEEK IN TOKYO
SaturdayWell the time had come, it was Saturday and we left Iwaki to stay one week in Tokyo. This is the view from the hotel window, I’m not kidding! We arrived and got an appointment with this great guy (and he brought his friend(s). I’ve been looking forward to meet him since I came to Japan, so it was great finally meet him. His name is Toshi and he is a friend of another Norwegian friend of mine…Thanks for sharing your friend Anne LinJ We were really hungry so we went out to eat, then he(they) took us to “Roppongi Hills Mori Tower” that has a 360 degrees view over all of Tokyo..beautiful…AMAZING. There was also a german art gallery on the top…he,he.

Sunday
We had an appointment with a Japanese girl called Yukie, that visited Torstein in Oslo last summer, The reason for that was that Hans Ivar met a friend of her on the airport last time he was in Japan, and this guy on the plain brought his friend Yukie (that has a very good English)to show Hans Ivar around Tokyo, so since Hans Ivar was in USA when Yukie came to visit Norway, he hocked her up to Torstein that showed her around, so now that Torstein came to Tokyo, she wanted to show him around.Wow, she is sooo cute. We walked around, had fun and ate some lunch and in the end of the day she had arranged a lot of people from her old scool to meet and eat. It was a great day, and I’m really looking forward to meet her again…and I live her now…YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…so I can meet her any time!

MondayOn Monday, We had a shopping day. Torstein had managed to keep away from the record shops both Saturday AND Sunday, and he said that this feeling most be something like coming to heaven, but not be able to speak with Jesus jet…he,he
So today we split up (fist time apart since he came to Japan). He went for record digging and I went looking at all kinds of things…We had lunch and he digged a little more, and I shopped a little more, and then we met at the hotel in the night, we went out an had a wonderful dinner at the neighbour hotel “Park Hyatt Hotel” (The hotel from the movie “Lost in translation“)….Wow what a view!!
TuesdayWe did some more shopping and digging ,but we had a nice calm day. And in the afternoon we met the germans from Jesus Freak, JP and Buddy. Great guys ,cool and with good hearts. It was great to talk with them and share same experiences and dreams. Yea God is sooo cool. We ate some food and walked around and visited some cool shops in the Harayuku area. And planned to meet them the day after too…
WednesdayTorstein went record digging again and I went to find MY guitar in a area were they have sooo many guitar shops… I came there and just drooled on the guitars. I was there for several hours just looking and looking..and trying and trying. I was going to meet Torstein at Tower records at 19.00 because we were going to meet a friend of him called Nasuki Rai there. We were all of a sudden 7 people joining this night. Toshi and a friend from his band (Tokyo blue whip) , the German guys JP and Buddy, Natsuki, Torstein and I. We went to Natsukis’ favourite restaurant were a friend of him worked (DJ Sak ,I think). Wow I was sooo proud and chocked that Torstein ate all the grouse food he was served, he ate octopus ,Tofo, wasabi-broccoli and NATTO (natto is rotten slimy beans is seaweed , and almost no foreigner can eat it)++ I couldn’t even eat the octopus…because this was not usual octopus, but with everything..brain and all. Another great day.

ThursdayThis was the last day in Tokyo for both me and Torstein…Tokyo was crying a lot because Torstein was leaving …so the rain was falling down like crazy… we went out early and went a lot of places. We went to a place called Nakano and looked for a skatershop were we knew they had a cool sweater. We found it and ended up talking to the guy working there…and he accually know some of my friends here in Iwaki…coool. Torstein didn’t buy the sweater, but we had a nice trip there. We went to the guitar place again and ate some kentuckie fried chiken and I bought my first el guitar and Torstein bought a lot of records….again;)
Tokyo was still crying like carzy so we went for a little bit more shopping and then got sooking wet ,took a taxi to the hotel and relaxed there.
