Børud gjengen 4 ever

He,he, I*m sitting here happy as a little crazy little …..frog??, well couldn’t find the word, I’ve just watched a Lisa Børud DVD filled with music videos, that I’ve borrowed from Frida and Carina, The Fam. Haraldseid kids, wow I feel so lucky. Thank you. I really love that Børud-music. It always makes me so totally freaken happy, Hi,hi, you may think that I’m a little childish ,listening to this stuff well you’re right, I am, and I’m proud of it, he,he… I’m like a little kid, I don’t get the big words and I can’t pretend that I do either, because that is not honest. And the Børud texts is so amazing, no big words, easy to understand and it always manage to climb into my heart and clean up in there and make it shine, and when a heart is shining from the inside, then it bobbles over and shows on the outside…hi, hi…
Hm… why make the word of God so difficult, because It isn’t, I think it’s suppose to make you happy. …he,he now she is singing a song about that she isn’t afraid at nights or when it gets dark or when she is going to sleep because God has promised to take care of her, and she can always trust him… hi,hi
Wow, Amazing, he,he… well difficult to explain how happy I am through a piece of paper ,well well, I am Happy ,just trust my word, he,he.
Today What did I do…hmm…he,he, went to the nearest foodshop again to do some shopping, wanted to buy tofu, and they have a lot of different types, and I wanted the one who is really really soft so that I can mix it into stuff (wanted to try to make pancakes with tofu), anyway there is this really nice guy who works there, and he must think something like this when he see me “oh no, here comes trouble”, he,he, one time I think he tried to act like he didn’t saw me until I talked to him. Well I gets really happy when I see him because I feel like I know him a little and then I can ask him if there is something I’m wondering, but the only problem is that he doesn’t know any English, I mean it, NOT ANYTHING! I don’t think he knows a single word, he,he, so to try to explain that I want tofu but I don’t know what kind of tofu which is the softest, that is not really easy if you have to try to avoid English words because that confuses him , he,he… ,he is the same guy who helped me find the tofu milk when I first came, so he tried to ask me if I wanted tofu milk again, he,he.. I tried to explain with my whole body and with all of the Japanese words I can, but I Couldn’t avoid the English word “soft“, but he didn’t got anything …and nice as they are ..they do everything to help you so then all of a sudden there were two people helping me, and then tree. I had this little “I would like really soft tofu show” for them, for a while , but then I gave up. We laugh a little so it was ok, I ended up with the right one and the pancakes turned out pretty well.
Wow I really love this DVD, now the songs name is “Happy”, he,he.. Ok, I’m HAPPY, Good night.

The day after:
Ok, this is the day after I wrote that and can I tell you something cool,I got something in the mailbox today from Kari, my wonderful and very talented norwegian friend.THANK YOU!!! She sent me a little letter and a bracelet where It acctually were written ``HAPPY`` and today another new girl I got to know all of a sudden said to me ``you look really HAPPY`` he,he, so well, I guss my heart really got cleaned up like I said it usually do when I listen to that music, he,he.
This day were grat tooo, I was REALLY HAPPY,he,he

I`M SOOOOOOO HAPPY:)

I’M SOOOO HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY…
I once had this pink bear (Bamse) that I got from my mom and grandma when they came back from New York once. And it had this different buttons that you could push to get it to say different things, and one of the things it said was “I’m so happy” and if you pushed the button next to that one, it made a laughter like this “haha-haha” , so if I had that bear here now, and I couldn’t write or speak, then I would have worn out the batteries. .he,he…I ‘M SOOOO HAPPY…haha-haha , I’M SOOOO HAPPY, haha- haha”.
Well ,ok I’ll tell you. Ok, it was like this. I had just left ESC because I didn’t wanted bike home alone so late, so I turned off the lights, locked all the doors and left, taking my bike and biking like crazy to the nearest food-shop so I would get there before it closed. I locked my bike and went in, then I remembered that I had forgotten to turn off the heat at ESC, I left the shop immediately, unlocked my bike and biked like crazy back to ESC (but on my way there, I noticed two skaters in the dark on the shops parking spat ..“hmm“…I thought) …but I biked away, locked my bike, unlocked the front door of ESC, locked it behind me, unlocked the next door, ran in and turned off the heater , locked the door, opened the next door, locked it behind me, unlocked my bike, and biked like crazy back to the shop….but on my way…. TA-TA…there they were again, the two skaters, a girl and a boy. I couldn’t help myself so it just fell out of my mouth “Sugoi” ,that means like “Cool, fett, nice, heldiggriser” and all those kinds of positive things. I stopped my bike, and all of a sudden we had a conversation, in Japanese , well, I spoke mostly in Japanese actually, wow all of a sudden I remembered sooo many words and how to put them together, (it’s more difficult to get all the things they say, because they don’t know what Japanese words I know), but anyway, we talked and talked and talked about why I’m in Japan, do I live here, them (sister &brother), skateboarding and I told them that I wanted a skateboard because my skateboard is in Norway, and all of a sudden I saw that they had a sticker under their skateboards that said “Ecko” who is the name of a skate-shop in town, and I actually had a flyer from that shop in my bag, I showed them and whey were trilled and started to explain that today it was a “festival” thing there, and they said that I should go and see…I really wanted to, but it was too late and very cold so I didn’t and they wouldn’t go because of that either. So we kept on talking, and then we found out that they actually know the Japanese friends I have here already, he,he, … they suggested that we should go skate together sometime. I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY, haha-haha, we exchanged numbers and e-mails (we’re not able to sms here, we e-mail on our phones), so now I’ve actually got this thing too what I have been praying for … “please give me some skater friends that I can share skating with”…
I am soooo glad that I forgot to turn off the heather :0)
….and she actually works a place that I’m walking by almost every day, so I’ll probably see her a lot , and she lives just to min walk from my place, he,he. … “SUUUUUUGOI NE”
So yea , I’m sooooooo HAPPY, and I guess I’m gonna use a little bit of my salary on a skateboard this month :0)
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY…osv

A day with rain

Halla i spannet, just felt like writing it, for you who don’t understand anything of that, don’t bother, it was nothing important .
Well well friends out there in the big world that all of a sudden isn’t so big after all… Well this Monday was crap (is that a bad word? I mean, for me as a “missionary” to say??;) “Missionary” What a scary word, it gives people all these kinds off different pictures in their heads, well I think it’s pretty scary, not kawaii demo kowaii…totally different meanings, but still so close. Hmm… I like to picture a missionary as a ordinary unique person, just as everyone else, no better no worse, but a person who just think that it’s great hanging around with Jesus and trying to give forward what God has overflowed this “missionary’s” heart with of love ,hope, peace and gladness to the people who might pass you on your way for a long or a short time of your journey in life…hmm.. sometimes it’s hard giving when you feel empty, but then you can just spend some time with God and let you get filled up again, this can take a while but, I think it’s important to keep on walking with God and not give up, even though everything else in the world tells you to give up…keep on walking.
Oh.. this was just some thoughts that flew out of my head like a little bug flies out of a tree, he,he… You might think, “she is sick, crazy…not normal” and I can tell you, well your right, kind of right.. I am right and it’s also in the middle of the night, I’m happy and love to have been filled up again, just as I said, and I also loose the ability to put my breaks on when its around nigh time, well I often doesn’t have the ability to put the breaks on.
Anyway as I said Monday was terrible, for you who usually see me jumping around as a crazy happy jumpyfrog , you might have been thinking that I don’t have terrible days. That in my world I don’t really experience bad stuff, sorry you are wrong, I do, and this Monday I got a hit in the face (like they say in the movies, don’t they?), well no one hit me, well maybe the wrong way of putting it, well “whatever” I’m into in the Japanese-English now, and here everything goes.
Anyway, the day was so bad that I couldn’t get out of my bed until around 13.00, I wasn’t sick or anything, but my heart was longing to cry….A LOT, I missed Ingvild so much that I had to look through all the pictures I could find, and I couldn’t understand why I ‘m here in Japan, leaving my life in Norway while I still loved it, and in the same time I felt soo home, and soo on the right place here in Japan.
It was bible reading this Monday too, reading the bible in English and Japanese…a very interesting thing usually, but this time I couldn’t really concentred and I felt like I was this burden for the people around me. After the bible reading, me and the other two who was left started to talk to God about all kinds of stuff that’s on our hearts (someone like to call it praying;) and then I couldn’t handle keeping my tears locked inside anymore…I cried from that moment and almost without stopping for almost 5 hour. Sorry if you think that this is getting to personal, but I just felt like sharing it
Anyway, after rain, comes sun…sometimes it will rain for a while, sometimes for month, sometimes for 5 hours….
I woke up the day after, It was a brand new day, a new day filled with new surprises. I shared a couple of songs, I all of a sudden saw the best friend I have here in Japan surprisingly driving pass in her car together with her Mom, bought of them waving and smiling like crazy, an then one hour later I bumped into them totally unexpected , just 10 seconds after I sent her a message from my phone. Then I had fun at my friends coffee-shop, then I was just stopping by for a little while in a music (instrument) shop and I got a new friend that already knew my name because he is already a friend of my Japanese friends… And tonight I got a card from one of these Japanese friends who had written some really nice words, the best words I could get from someone here actually, kind of the words that made me realise why I’m here.
So now my heart is filled with …hmmm… maybe really extremely happy ,I don’t know what they are called in English , but they are really really small and usually crawls around in your bed… no maybe not them, hmm.. my heart is filled with flowers maybe, no not flowers either, well it’s not butterflies, because I know what they feels like and they’re usually flies around in your stomach … hmm…well then it can’t be anything else than the joy only Jesus can fill my heart with, yea that’s it;)

A new week

What happend ,has it already been a week since I wrote last time...wow this week has just flown away so freakin quickly,I don`t even remember what I have been doing, well I have been learning alot this last three weeks so this week I have been sleeping alot,he,he...and I have been resting, hanging around as i usually do, he,he...sometimes I forget that I have just been here for only tree weeks.. I guess I`m just settling in.
Hmm...what have I been doing,hmm...I have been drinking coffee and speaking japanese at Hidesans Coffee shop as usually(maybe I should start calling it my own "impro stand up place", because everyone just laught at me there.."What?is my japanese different???"he,he). And I have been hanging out in my friends shop doing the "robot dance",had some cups of cooffee with them. And by the way,wow I must say that there is one word that is REALLY funny to get them to say..You see i looked at some gloves/mittens there in their shop one day, but i couldn`t remember the english name for it, and then i told them that in Norwegian we call it "vott" and they repeated after me "Bott?"and I said "No, VOTT", and they said "Ok,bott"..he,he..."do you want to buy a bott"...it`s really funny, they mix the B and V, but it`s not their fault, they did a goood job, we all have our difficulties;0)
And wednesday we had this nice and sad goodbye garthering for a very nice girl whose name is Aislinn, she has been working in Iwaki as an english teacher the last year, and now she is moving back to America. And on friday there was alot of people here at ESC, we ate, hang out and I sang one english song ,one norwegian song(Borud Gjengen song off cause)and I tryed to make a japanese song(just to cover all the languages that were represented), It didn`t really turned out good, so I told them in japanese "nextnextnext" time,he,he.And yesterday we took a 1-2 hour trip to see the band F2F(Face2Face) who had a kind of Christmas consert...he,he...It wasn`t really what we picture us when we hear the word "Christmas consert"in Norway, but I guess that was the closest I`m gonna get to a chrismas consert here in Japan. But it was great, they have their band rehersals at East Street Club, so we wanted to support our friends.
Did you know that here It`s possible to buy half cooked eggs, I really got a bad supprise here one day, I had bought eggs, and for me,I know what eggs are and eggs are eggs if you know what I mean. So I took this egg and cnacked it in my cooking pan(he,he..is it possible to say "cnacked"and"cooking pan"...well whatever,in my life it`s possible..and spesially in Japan hi,hi)...anyway, It was a really bad surprise, I was thinking..."What in the world,do the chikens here in Japan boil them ready themselves??"He,he...so now I know that there is different types, but I have learnt how to read in one of their languages now, so now i can acctually read alot of things that`s written on food...Thank you soo much all you who pray for me that I am going to learn the language easyly, I don`t understand what`s going on, I have been here for 3 weeks and I already write japanese messages with japanese writing to my japanese friends.Sooo that`s Amazing.. Couldn`t have done it without my best friend Jesus sensai,he,he. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Now I have to go, I have to practise my guitar playing because I`m going to sing two different places this week, and I`m suppose to sing christmas songs, so I have to learn some,he,he. And I promised to stop by my frinds at their shop today and then I am going to hang out with some other friends tonight. Well well, have fun all of you who`s going to Sub today. Enjoy.
I love your coments, keep up.

Karaoke

He,he, I just can’t help myself, I can not control myself, I just have to write and write about all the wonderful stuff I get to do here. I’m sitting in my bed again with my laptop, and it’s 04.18 in the morning, night to Sunday. I’ve had a fantastic day, hmm…a little strange because I had this really creepy experience Friday night and felt a little scared, and didn’t sleep much, but I spent a lot of time with God, and read in the psalms until I felt that I was full, and I listened to Maria Solheims wonderful songs that are filled with lots of peace and calms down an upset soul. And I asked God to make me a new day filled with joy, and oh yes, he surely did.
My day started early and I washed my clothes and found out that my washing machine was working perfectly (I had some huge problems with it last time so I was a little worried about that), then I went to use the internet , I went home again and made a wonderful oishii soup, sat down and ate it while I was playing guitar and waiting for Chikachan who was coming to pick me up. She came at 13.30 with a wonderful smile and we drove to this culture house were we were going to see this play. Funny funny and really cool. A theatre show in Japanese, he,he, I must admit that I didn’t really understand what it was about, but there was a lot of people who got killed and died, I don’t know why he,he, but it was great, specially because there was this one actor there who was really good and really funny, his body language showed a lot.
And after that we were really hungry, so we drove around and around to find a nice place, we ended up at this Chinese noodle place, the food was super duper good, we ate and ate and took a lot of funny wire picture and were laughing and laughing.
Then we decided to go to this karaoke place, well I have never been a karaoke person, but I think I am now. Here in Japan, you pay one price to be there as long as you want, and then you can just go and take as much as you want from the drink machines ,green tea, coffee, Calpis, coke or whatever you want to drink. And then you get microphones and a room number, so you sit there together with your friends and drink coffee or coke or whatever, and sing and sing, and if you get hungry, you can also order food, or sweets like chocolate or whatever. So we came there at 18.42. Oh wow we had a good time, we were laughing and laughing and laughing, dancing and singing like crazy. We decided to sing some Christmas songs ,so the song for the night became “All I want for Christmas is you”…he,he, And we were trying to sing Tristan Prettymans song “love ,love love”…we didn’t manage so well, so I’m listening till it now to try to do better next time he,he…well we were singing and singing, and all off a sudden we checked the clock and (this is crazy) it was 03.09.…so we realised that we had been there for almost 9 hours, the time was just running and running. Crazy, well we ended the day with “All I want for Christmas is you” again before we left, so now I’m home, and my heart is sooooo filled up with joy.

He,he, just a littel funny thing

Wow what a nice wedding

I just came home from Makotosan & Etsukosan‘s wedding. It’s the first Japanese wedding I have been to and I think it was amazing, interesting, and very very good to be there. I don’t know them soo well yet, but I now that they will be very important people to me in the near future, so I am soooo grateful that they invited me. “Domo Arrigato gosaimas”.
The church ceremony was really nice and they looked amazingly beautiful both of them. The place we were going to eat afterward was really nice, wow, wow, wow, and the foood… we were served many many many times, so now I have learnt a new Japanese word “many, many” he,he. And I have tasted a lot of new things, I was thinking about asking Hilde what the food was before or after or not at all…I decided to ask her after, and that was a goooood idea, sometimes it’s better to not know ,but just jump into things;)
And they had a lot of music in their wedding, there was music in the background all the time, and the spirit there was great, he,he, well I don’t understand the Japanese language when they speak and speak and speak, really quickly but still I started to cry many times, he,he. And then an old friend that I met last year was there, and I wasn’t expecting to see him, soooo I got REALLLLLLLY happy to see him, and he sang a wonderful very touching song, and I was crying and crying. Yea I must say that it was a really nice wedding.
And afterwords they had this open 2nd wedding party at ESC (East Street Club), were we kept on eating and eating cake, and ther was a DJ there and some people were singing and some were speaking, so now I am tired and have to go to bed because I’m going up early tomorrow.
Peace in the valley. …my new expression, I have no idea were it came from…
